I'd been wanting to do this section for years and finally got a friend to drop me off at the Cypress Alpine area so I could finish it. I'd strapped my snowshoes to my back not knowing if I was going to need them or not. I strapped them on immediately when my friend left and trudged up and then down to Eagle Bluffs. Enjoyed the view for awhile and then started the slow and kinda treacherous descent down the bluffs. I took my time as the path is quite worn in places and there were lots of folks coming up the Bluffs so I had to take frequent breaks.
I met a Boy Scout troop at the bottom who helped me find a geocache I was having trouble locating.
The trail is pretty well-maintained starting at the bottom of the bluffs and I didn't encounter any major problems. Arrived at the trail head after some solid hiking and a goal accomplished. You'll have to walk over the overpass to Marine Drive for about 10 minutes to get to a bus stop
that will take you back into the city.
