Rambling around Cloudburst - scoping some routes that are new to me.
This approach is from BR200 aka High Creek Falls FSR. This is a popular back country ski destination and makes an excellent snowshoe in the dead of winter but you will easily have an extra 8-12km of road to cover as it becomes impassible fairly early in the season.
Notes:
Sparse flagging, once trail is covered in snow you will have no reference - take the GPS track pleaselarge boulder field crossingAs the snow level drops you will be parking lower and lower and gaining that much more elevationThe FSR is in good shape but 4x4 is minimum cost of entryFSR is very icy in the upper sections now with freeze thaw and always being in shadow - be vigilantSaw more than a dozen peopleIn order to see Black Tusk, Atwell, Garibaldi, etc... you need ramble past the lake and gain eastern ridge
Be safe and have fun out there.
Regards,
Rex
