Parked on the far (north) side of the Cheakamus River, which means that you get to cross the suspension bridge en route to the trail head. This adds about 10 mins of hiking but is worth it to see the bridge. The trail was quiet for a sunny summer Sunday - only saw two groups along the way. The trail is pretty and soft - not blown out whatsoever. From the ridge, views over towards Callaghan, the Tusk, Fissile Peak, etc. Cool geology on this route. Minimal bugs. This is a good little leg stretcher and gives you a little taste of the volcanic landscape of the area.
