My intention was to reach Goat Mountain yesterday am: but I run out of time. I took the Ridge Trail and around Little Goat I lost sigh of the markers and could not see the mountains due to the fog, so I lost my reference, and some time. As I crossed some snowy elevations I found some markers on the Alpine trail, and as the fog cleared for a short while I could see Lake Kennedy down bellow, and Goat just on the left.
As the view was very limited, I decided to return via the Alpine trail, and checked on Dam Peak and Thunderbird Ridge on the way back. I did no manage to follow a proper sequence of markers.
Microspikes will make you hiking safer on certain snow covered areas; the snow is slushy and soft, but along the edges it is harder and slippery, so be cautious. To the point I got to the hike is totally doable.
