Arches NP is certainly one of the most beautiful parks in Utah, with amazing colours and intricate rock structures.
Arriving at the park after sunset, we decided to try our luck and ask the camp hosts if there were any last minute cancellations or no-shows despite the "campground full" sign. We were lucky and spent the night in the beautiful Devil's Garden campground, which gave us more nap time before the early morning trip.
The Landscape Arch is best viewed at sunrise, and we were at its base around 6:30 am. My friends and I were the only ones there when the arch lit up with vibrant colours and the day began. We continued to the Double-O Arch into the Devil's Garden, this trail less prominent and more enjoyable than the wide dusty road to the Landscape Arch. As the air started heating up, we hurried back, making short detours to the Navajo and Partition Arches. Stunning, surreal landscapes surrounded us as we got back to the vehicle around 10 am, now under the scorching sun and among increasing crowds of people. Loved this morning trip.
