Great Glacier Trail

Great little hike. Went with kids. Trail is really well marked until you pass the stream and reach the rocks. But even then, we can make out a way. It had snowed quite a bit, making the last part pretty difficult and slippery. We were happy to have at least a pole each and good hiking boots. The trail through the forest is really beautiful and easy. At about half way, it gets steeper, but the trail remains in excellent conditions. It is pretty cool to be in the middle of the mountain, but this hike doesn't have a goal, by this I mean you don't reach a summit or a hut, you just arrive at the bottom of the glacier. About 2 hours with breaks at moderate speed and with slippery conditions (+ some trail finding towards the end) to the top. 1:30 hour to get down.
