This was an excellent hike up a popular trail. The parking lot gets full quickly but the trail is wide and well used. The trail itself is very dry and dusty and does get extremely slippery on the return as a result. There are no technical aspects to this trail. Near the top the views down onto Canmore are amazing and the drop off is quite dramatic. Be very careful not to drop rocks on climbers below (signs are posted everywhere). I would consider this a kid friendly hike as it's fairly short and there is no exposure.
