Lake Ingalls
starstarstarstarstar
Jun 20, 2020
All snowy north of Ingalls Pass. Very few people went north. I saw one tent, and a group of 4 during my time north of the pass. The entire Headlight Basin was snow covered. I walked around the lake, hoping that the rain would stop, but it didn't. Visibility was poor. Need GPS map to find your way. On the way back, I was able to follow a track most of the time.
Snow level ~6000'. Quite many hikers on the rainy day, but most returned few hundred feet before the pass.
Two photos: one is the basin on the north side of the lake looking down to Ingalls Creek. One is the snow block avalanche-d down to the lake on its west shore.
