Forest air smells like the morning mist from the lake. It has the aroma of safety and freedom. Sprawling before us is Lake Ann shimmering in the afternoon sun like a giant sapphire. We walk near the lake to receive the comfort from the earth. I could not refrain from asking, "Is this Heaven on earth?" I appreciate each moment of the minute with Great Nature.
This is a stunning hike to Lake Ann/Han Peak at Mount Baker Area on August 12 with a wonderful group of friends.
