Climbers destination and lots of exploration for hikers here too.
Lots of climbing route variety here and if you are a climber I am sure have already about this place.
Couple notes...
have some sort of mapping app... like Strava, Gaia, MotionX so you can figure out where you are when you get up into the areas further from the parking area... some trails are obscured, lots of braiding, deadfall, etc...
we got cliffed out twice following some foot-beds that looked reasonably well trafficked up and over some rises
cumulative elevation will be surprising on anything you do here, don't use the trail stats as a reference... add 50-100% elevation gain to be safe when planning your day
And most importantly... take twice as much water as your believe you will need... this area is semi-arid and no joke when it comes to hydration and lots of smoke and haze in photos as there were fires to the south east and north and Lytten had just burned to the ground.
Have fun and stay safe!
Regards,
Rex
