This was a last minute choice for us but it was a real unexpected gem! The FSR is pretty gradual and seems to have grown over enough that it doesn't detract too much from wanting to be on an actual trail. Once you turn off, the climb starts to pick up and the last little bit gets pretty steep in sections. There are markers along the route so it is straightforward. I hadn't actually seen pictures of the lake in advance but I was impressed with how clear and deep it was. Will be back to spend some more time there for sure!
