I have enjoyed hiking and backpacking since about 1979 with my wife, and three children, now all grown. We all continue to enjoy hiking adventures whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Skoki Valley
04.09.2011
This was my big day of walking in the awesome Canadian Rockies in wild natural beauty that defies description by writing and even by photography. I was alone on this adventure, walked when I wanted, rested when I wanted. I just had to be back to my tent before dark. I had already been up to Boulder Pass and Ptarmigan Lake to preview it the night before. This time with a light pack of essential trail supplies of food, water, and emergency items I continued on with my head and heart absorbed in all that I saw.
I had taken more photos than seen here in this Live Trails album but it appears there must be a limit of 125 photos. After leaving Skoki Lodge I had hiked up to Packer's Pass passing by the Skoki Lakes called Myosotis Lake and Zigadenus Lake. The pictures I took on this segment of my day hike did not get loaded into Live Trails.540 x gelesen
