Love this trail as a snowshoe trip! Fresh snow had fallen in the night so Sunday was perfect with the weather clearing and the peak views along the way opening up. The trail was nicely broken with snowshoe tracks. Good idea to start early just in case you have to break trail ;) We only saw one group of snowshoers and 2 backcountry skiers all day. We shortened the hike considerably (10 km round trip) by starting at the ski area and taking the chair lift up, then following the edge of the ski run to the marked trail sign. We took the chair back down at the end of the hike as well, sparing my knees :D We walked down the ski hill in past years, not realizing you can take the chair both ways - good to know! Only 10 dollars for the round trip, you buy a single use ticket at the ski hill parking lot.
