Day 1 : Going up the switchbacks on Rubble Creek trail. Sleep at Taylor Meadows campground.
Day 2 : Through to Taylor Meadows to Helm Lake (snow starts at Panorama Ridge junction). Cross the creek without getting wet thanks to some rocks, go around the south side of Cinder Cone and up Helm Glacier. Go down Gentian Pass and up the ridge on the other side. Cross to Polemonium ridge as soon as possible to don't gain useless elevation. Go down a little bit on the other side of Polemonium (lots of small loose rocks here). Scramble up on the other side of the gap in Polemonium ridge (short but steep and a little bit exposed section, ice axe necessary) and go up the west summit \o/.
Get down the same way at the beginning, but don't cross Polemonium again to go to Burton hut.
Day 3 : Go up a scree slope north of the hut, straight ahead up to the ridge. Get down to Gentian pass. From here, same route than day 2 and 1 in the other direction.
We planed to do that in 2 days, but went up the switchbacks the night before to reduce the elevation on the second day. Probably possible to do this in one long day (without going to the hut then) if you're fast. I'm not sure about distance and elevation, numbers are guessed.
