We had a late start at around noon at the Cheakamus lake trailhead with started with perfect hiking weather. The trail is very easy to follow and well marked all the way up to the Helm creek campsite. From the campsite the you can see the peak and we hiked about a kilometer through the meadows to the base of the peak. From the base we started to climb up the extremly steap slope for about an hour until we reached the peak. From up there we had beautiful views of Black Tusk and the other peaks of the surrounding.
There are tons of bugs up there at the moment, so bring plenty of repellent.
