Bowen Island has been a favorite destination of mine for years, the ferry ride and the feeling of being in the country while just being a quick trip from the big city has always worked its magic on me, even on an easy little hike like this one. The bird amongst the lily pads is a juvenile Pied-billed Grebe and the bird on the tree is of course a Pileated Woodpecker.
