I am a fair weather hiker. Mi hiking season is when Whistler is closed for skiing.
It looks like my favorite hiking area is sea to sky, and I am not too much into camping so this year I am doing long day hikes, and sometimes sleeping in Whistler.
I normally organize hikes trough Wanderung, but I am starting to build my own hiking friends network.
I only accept friend invitations from people I hiked with before and had no problems, like no shows, too slow or too hike pace, splitting the group, etc.
Snow from the parking lot with only a few patches of grass at the beginning. The snow was too soft and we tried the steep part from the first peak. There were a few cracks on the snow in the steep part before the peak and we decided to go back due to safety concerns. We saw other people doing it, one with skis and a couple without snowshoes
