Park by Wheeler's Hut. Trail is really well marked in Glacier National Park. Easy to follow. It starts off easy by the creek. We were told to watch out for bears, but didn't see any. Then trail gets steeper and is a pretty steady climb in the middle of the mountains. We heard many rock slides. At one point, the trail crosses a stream (they were taking the bridges off for the winter), to continue on a ridge. From there it gets pretty steep and narrow. We had snow on this hike, making it more difficult and slippery. We were really happy to have good hiking boots and poles. The reward is seeing the beautiful hut after such a climb and of course the glacier and mountains around us. You even get double toilets with a view! A must do hike :-)
