Park at the top of Shannon Heights Place in West Kelowna. Make sure you have good grip on your shoes and this trail is steep and can be slippery.
After the gate, start on trail going slightly to the right. On the water reservoir, you will see a little trail going through a bushy area. You are on the right track! Keep going on this little trail. In Spring and sometimes Fall, there's a very pretty waterfall. (You have to cross the creek). After that, there's another 300m. or so of steep hill. Then the trail flattens and you go on the mountain flank till the top. The top will reward you with a beautiful view of Okanagan lake, Kelowna, West Kelowna.
For the way down, you can either go back the way you just hiked up or cross the flatten top and follow the orange signage down. The beginning of the way down is gentle and beautiful, going through some forest. Lots of Moose droppings, although I never saw any. Half way down, it gets very steep again and extremely slippery. I would recommend poles (but not a must at all) and using caution. It is rocky terrain with a sandy base. Follow the signage. Once again, the view is gorgeous! At the bottom, follow the trail behind houses until you come out and in the residential area.
